Biden team forges ahead with nominations and appointments.
President Trump and his officials gave the go-ahead for preliminary transition protocols to proceed to the team of former Vice President Joe Biden after the usual procedure was delayed by the General Services Administration (GSA) due to unsettled lawsuits alleging voter fraud. The protocols provide critical resources that enable the transition of presidential administration in January
President Trump stated via Twitter, “Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good fight, and I believe we will prevail! … Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily [Murphy, head of GSA] and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same.”
The president thanked Mrs. Murphy for her “dedication” and “loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused—and I do not want to see that happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA.”
President Trump also said that “the GSA does not determine who the next President of the United States will be,” and that his team would move “full speed ahead” with challenging “what will go down as the most corrupt election in American political history.”
